Anybody else a bit cheesed off that the league title/top two is always decided by teams who won't go up. Goytre, Ton Pentre etc. Can't be good for the Welsh League or the WP.

not good at all or welsh football when teams do not want promotion to the top tier.thats why they will change to a 10 ten team league because nobody wants to come up any more. the amount of travelling involved and time off for the players is too much for some to pay out the extra cash and with some sides only gettong 100-150 people watching them its impossible. where do we go from here i dont know i suppose it will end up with the top 4 sides winning everything and getting more money and nobody else getting a chance a bit like up in scotland. only when a welsh side progresses in europe and does well nobody will ever take any notice of our welsh premier league. heres hoping bangor do something this season!!!!! _________________ nevs blue farrar road army

Ton Pentre and Goytre United have large player budgets and have no interest in sorting their grounds out. 'Tis a shame, but the league can't exactly chuck them out...can they?
Aberaman also have a big budget (rumored to by near 1k/week!), but their attempts to get a new ground has hit problems.
Fair play to Dinas, they've cut their budget to £15 a man, but their ground needs a lot of work...
Lido need a goalscorer - mean defence but a bit toothless up front.
A lot other sides have grounds with hpotential, but i'm not sure the money's there to upgrade them...
And we're rebuilding for next season...fingers crossed... _________________ Come on the Crows!

They've met Robbie Walters of Bryntirion apparently. Don't know if he's signed yet. Could be just what they need. Their Chairman reckons they are going for it and are determined to get out of the Welsh League so expect them to sign a few more.

Well he bagged a couple against us last term, and he was the league top scorer i believe, so Lido could do a lot worse.
Good luck to Lido, cos i don't think we'll be ready to challenge this coming season (what with the rebuilding / new man at the helm), and i'd rather see an ambitious side at the top than the usual crop of "big wages/park pitch" clubs...
Reckon you'll break into the top 3 next season PTB? Tucker's a good manager, and with Rhyl and TNS undergoing changes... _________________ Come on the Crows!

I'd agree with you PTBlue - as well as Neath, think they might lift a few eyebrows...

Forgot about them. They done superb to finish so high last season and I'm sure they will be looking to better it as they have an ambitious manager who went on record saying their aim at the end of the season was to finish above Port Talbot. So I'm hoping they don't this season
Lookingh forward to the Gnoll on Boxing Day though, especially with our ex-manager in goals

I had you amongst the usual suspects
With plenty of pace around Graham Evans I am sure he'll score for you and you're defence is pretty mean. See you for a beer on the 23rd August?? ANother 4-2 PTT win hopefully.
I really think this could be one of the most exciting, closely fought Welsh Prem campaigns with lots of teams involved rather than the usual 2/3 horse race.
Hopefully some new teams will come up from the feeders next summer. With the Lido taking Paul and Carl Evans back from us I think they could do it this season then the real derby will be back on
