Neath will be playing their home games at the Gnoll next season. A much better town centre location with good facilities and plenty of good pubs nearby.
Hope the pitch will be improved though!

I read somewhere that they are relaying the surface!!! This will also mean that Gnoll is the biggest ground in the WPL! Think this could be an excellent venture for Neath!

this is what the league needs proper stadiums with decent pitches, dont know how the pitch will play in the winter and what state it will get into but it a positive idea. lets see if it increases the crowd sizes because they did well in their first season in the welsh prem, would it pass for euro football!! _________________ nevs blue farrar road army

Defo - Gnoll was one of the best rugby pitch too (behind that of Stradey & Arms Park)!!! Yeah, it has all the things needed for Europe, which makes a very good & bold statement, good on them more clubs are needed like them 'wanting to come up and improve' also I think that their central location will improve their crowds...

You're right, it is being relayed apparently. Should help a lot. THought Llandarcy was a crap place to watch/play football. A glorified Welshpool if such a thing is possible.

Good statement for the club. Just hope they aren't paying excessive rent, and banking on much bigger crowds. Would a Neath Rugby crowd go an watch Footie every other week? _________________ Welsh Premier Clips on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/Peldroedcymru

Certainly not on a Boxing Day when they're playing us and their egg-chasers are playing Aberavon. Looking forward to going there though, especially as Tony Pennock as signed for them yesterday as Keeper!

Yes, i agree. Great move this by Neath. Nice to see a club take a calculated risk (assuming they can move back to Llandarcy is they are indeed paying through the nose to share).
If enough is made of this in the local press, and plenty of 'next match here' advertising is done, then perhaps their gates will increase.
I hope we get them in the cup next season _________________ Come on the Crows!

What is also appealing is that a lot of Swans fans come from Neath (as well as Port Talbot, Llanelli & Carmarthen), so if they can play a different day to the Swans I can't see why they don't increase the crow (with it now on their door step)!? Llanelli have increased (a tad bit) of their crowds by playing on a different day to Swansea.

Neath have now leapfrogged into having the best ground in the WPL
According to their site, TNS aren't bothering upgrading their ground to 3,000 seats for a while. They seem to think they'll get their 1,000 seats in time for the UEFA Cup games. Aren't they pushing it a bit fine to be ready in time? _________________ Welsh Premier Clips on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/Peldroedcymru

Lol - It's also the same at Stebo, we're up grading to 1,007 seats but no work has started yet... although it is a simple structure/ frame that i to be installed into the terrace next ot the commerical suit or ajasent to the main enterance (excuse spelling if I got ajasent wrong). Many Turks fear that it ownt be installed in time... we'll see

Well done to the welshpool of the south !
So how many years ago did the original welshpool promise to do something about their ground, and how many years have they got to do it ? _________________ Syni Rhyl - Cartre Stadiwm 3000 y Gogledd

Lol - do you mean Llanelli are the Welshpool of the South? If so, you do realise that for big games we have unquestionable usage of Pemberton Stadium (since it is Council owned)... We could do what Swansea & The Ospreys do - a joint venue, but playing our games in quater filled stadium is prety dull. So The Reds just took the option of only playing there if it is a European game or big games (e.g. friendly with the Swans etc).
