"Rhyl have been drawn against Irish Eircom League side Bohemians in the Intertoto Cup, which was held at the UEFA Offices in Nyon this afternoon. Rhyl Club Secretary Joe Furnival was present at the Draw in Switzerland and said, "We've drawn Bohemians and we're away in the First Leg, which is what we wanted."
If the Lilywhites progress to the next Round, then they will face the winners of the tie involving Latvia and Iceland with a possibility of another mouth-watering tie against Scottish opposition in the Third Round.

Wales were ranked in the un-seeded pot of the Northern European Draw and knew that their opponents would either be from Ireland, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania or Finland. The draw against the Irish side will be welcomed by the Belle Vue faithful, as it's the easiest place to get to and their visitors from Dublin are sure to bring a lot of supporters to Belle Vue for the Second Leg.

Bohemians are one of the favourites to lift the Eircom League this season, which has only played seven games due to their Summer Calendar. The Dublin-based side are currently second behind St. Pats and have won five games, drawn one and lost one thus far. Their record away from home is unblemished having won all four games on the road, which included last night's match against Champions Drogheda, which they won 2-1. The match was shown Live on Setanta Television. They are the oldest association football club in the Republic of Ireland and boast striker Jason Byrne who was with Cardiff City last year and former Swansea City 'keeper Brian Murphy. The glove-man was signed by Brian Flynn and made 13 appearances for them Swans during the 2003/04 season.

Agree that we should be concerned with our own teams - I would be concerned if we only took 50 to the final but if that's all you were to take to your final so be it - no big deal about it to me really.

Any trouble has been caused by little chavs who would never get near a fans' message board.

Why not prove that we know when to have rivalry and when to unite by having fans from the different WPL clubs coming to Belle Vue next month to support Wales against the Little Town in Spain and Ingerland. Let fans bring the banners of their own clubs and stand side-by-side as Wales fans.

Yes I do find your constant sniping irritating to say the least and at times down right insulting and contributes to raising club rivalry beyond what is to be expected and sometimes acceptable.
As for bringing all our colours to Rhyl for a Wales game - well that's the last thing I would want. Having followed Wales at times home and away over the years the one thing that really pissed me off was the inter-club rivalry and the problems it caused - leave the club stuff at home and get behind you country is surely a better approach.
As for quoting you elsewhere well why would I want to do that - its bad enough having it one place without repeating it elsewhere.

Cityblue, you will find one basic difference between my posts and those of certain other fans - be they from bangor, rhyl or wherever. My posts have certainly contained comments about bangor but never ever ever any personal insults aimed at individual fans - not even when those fans hurl personal abuse at me. That, in my opinion, is the dividing line we should stick to.

As for the Wales games, honest difference of opinion. I think it would be great for fans of different clubs to stand side-by-side with their own Welsh dragon flags and names of their clubs on them to show unity and sup[port their country. You reckon club names should be left out of it altogether. Honest difference of opinion.

Whichever way, hopefully we'll see you and fellow fans from bangor and other clubs at belle vue for the internationals and that you will feel welcomed there.

There is a (not often observed) rule that i've come to know, watching Wales play away of 'Leave your club at home'. Basically, the reason for this is that Swansea and Cardiff would trash the whole of San Marino in a massive 200 man rumble. I can see no reason why we shouldn't wear our respective Clubs' colours, especially as it's likely to be players from both clubs on show.
