Bit of sour grapes, Criag...
Would the league still be "pants if you won it"?!?!?!? Doubt it!!! Personally, I think you need new management, Hulse has had tooo much time and the axe should fall?!?!?!

I've said this leagues crap since it inception. if I'd had my way we'd have left the league after we won the treble in 2004. Virtually impossible to beat that.

If we were 3rd chasing a promotion from say the Unibond premier I'm pretty ceratin we'd have more than 356 for the last home game.

Having said that 356 is a good crowd for Llanelli

2 seasons in which to organise a return to the English Pyramid before the 10 team WPL starts! :x

If you go, you'll be a little fish swimming in an Ocean and you've been away from the sea faaaaar to long to go anywhere fast!!!

Lol - I'd prefer to have 300+ on a weekly basis and beat you every season 8) however, saying that looks as though your attendances are similar to Llanelli's too.

Furthermore, the trouble is that you have the same problem as we do - whereby, your competing with Wrexham/ Liverpool etc when there is clash of games as Neath, PPT & Llanelli with The Swans... You can either fight it or accept it... You'd probably be better of going FT, it has certainly made a difference to us. Only thing that is different with us is that we have a bigger wage bill - that is it (and we don't spend big - nothing to spend it on when you can get something for nothing)!!! Therefore, we must win competitions to cover that loss or attract bigger crowds, however we've taken a bigger step forward by winning this term, our attendances are much better than last season (& season before), so on that note we're catching you on attendance figures! We'll be latching onto glory supports before long and eventually they'll stay for the long haul!!!! Lol.

This is probable NOT the cased, but I can't help but ponder it: -
With all this talk of you leaving, suggests to me that your scared. Because with you in the English system, you wont do too much when your there. You wont win as much as you probably think/ like to, however, that will prob be ammunition you need - "We're in a better league and the competition is far better, therefore, we're playing to a higher standard".
Silly, why turn you back now!?!?! You say you've done everything you have in the WPL - by winning it once and at a treble, so what, you didn't see Blackburn saying that when they won the Prem. years back - "we've won the English system, let's leave and join a European league. You're Welsh, play in Wales!!!!! Plus you're not a consistent side, you've won the WPl ONCE but you've never dominated like a Barry or a TNS side, what makes you think you deserve to leave????

This really frustrates me, I like Rhyl. While Llanelli flirted with WD1, I used to watch out for Rhyl's scores - so I'm not a hater. I really do think you leaving would be the worse thing for you & WPL. What you should do is get rid of Hulse (he doesn't have a clue - in my opinion), go FT and invest more than you have done!!!

NB. Please don't take offense, most is said with tongue & cheek!

Try not to let the facts get in the way of your comments RT.

Your average crowd this season is 354, significantly up on last season, but actually 2 less than our lowest league gate of the season. Its also 15 less than you averaged in 2005/6 when I suppose everyone got excited about going full time. So I wouldn't bother building a 5000 seater stadium just yet.

No your right we haven't dominated the league but we have for the 5th season running finished the highest placed part time team and the highest average attendence, but in my opinion and that of 2/3 of the Rhyl fans the WPL is stifling the clubs potential. Take away the 1 maybe 2 games in Europe a season groundhog day games against the likes of Welshpool, Caersws etc are killing the interest. This season we've played Bangor 7 times, we're about to play you for the 5th time, its repetitve and boring and in 2 years time we might be playing everybody 4 times a season in the league. How's that going to improve things?

Yes in the English system Rhyl will be just minnows, but at least the ceiling on our potential will be down to us and not constrained by the system we play in.

Right now in the WPL your the dogs bollox, but are totally reliant on 1 man to fund it. 354 avarage gate does not fund full time football.

Your right we are reliant on RG, but at least we plays as a tam to give him the service he's been recognised with... Big believer in passing football and we have pass him the balls that he has scored from. So I think what you rightly say is that he scores from a team effort...

I'm goona put my ding-dond on the line here ans say that figure at the end of next season will be up by 5% (or plus) with us winning this year! We are doing all the things we can to steal away from Rugby & Wenglish football, but htere are migrations what with £6 comapred to £20 for Rugby & £25+ for Football.

Although we have got a stadium being build for us (for Europe) just 5 seconds away, might have heard about it - Pemberton, it is council owned and one of the agreements Scarelts made was that The Reds could use it for Europe (or big games), but with the average we have no point in playing in it week-in-week-out and Stebo is more suitable for WPL

If I'm right, Rhyl were one of the Yes votes for the 10 teams - whats that about!?!?! You might not like it, but your clubs does!!! It works well for Scotland playing four times plus cup competitions and in my opinion I'd prefer to play you, TNS, Bangor & Carmarthen 4times than Sws, Druids, CQN... With all due respect, I think those clubs will prosper in the second tier when they get their house and eventually get promoted to WPL and then competition will be there plus a decent stadium/ pitch so we can play good football away from home too!!!

If you go to England you'll be as identified as Colwyn & Merthyr!!! Whereby, we'll be saying "what's the point"... Silly talk or throw your toys out of the pram talk! Patients is a vertue and from what I can tell about Rhyl - you have none!!!

Plus, Rhyl are constraining themselves, the league isn't doing anything apart from the teams that are in it (with their poor grounds and the lack of competition they bring - bar Neath) and that why we're changing to be more efficent

I think the clubs in the 2nd tier unless they have rich benefators will be f***ed. Where will Caernarfon be without a local derby against Bangor, where are Airbus and Druids going to get crowds from to compensate for the loss of games v Rhyl, Bangor and TNS. Crowds in the league are a joke as it is, imagine what the average will be for the 2nd division.

I'm not against a 10 team national division, but unless the Welsh FA back it with some money and get some sponsorship what's the point. Tell me what the difference is between playing H.West twice at home as opposed to playing Caersws. Neither bring any supporters so nothing gained there.

Before I reply, I actually apprecaite your comments on here and think you talk sense (even now) so don't think I'm trying to be a c**k.

The "major different" between Sws & H'west is distances I know loads of H'west support who travel to Llanelli and Turks who travel to H'west. However, from talking to the H'west people they only travel to local area or teams like TNS/ Bangor/ Rhyl.

The point from there is easier to get to teams you play 4 times who are closer than teams in the sticks (lol). But when playing "bigger" names they are prepared to travel to North Wales etc.

I do agree with what you say about the second tier, there will be a gulf/ divide, but surely it is worth it if the WPl is to advanced - a selfish stance!!! Better for the majority than the minority - it's business.

Yes, more monies is needed, but with this improvement it WILL come and with Setants improving ALL the time, I'm sure that will be something they'd like to add - heck they've added the Blue Square league and if they can market that, WE'RE DEFINATELY WATCHABLE especially when we get you 4 times a season!

If I'm honest I'm an awful away supporter (bus I have motion sickness so hate travelling on busses & trains - so that justified - lol) and only gone to Aberystwyth (for Reds v Rhyl) although I also had a basketball match up there the same day, and only been to Neath (5mins down the road) as well as Newport for FAW cup final (for this season's away games).

I find that other supporters are like that too!!! Loads of home support, but very little away support (unless south wales) - however, it is a cup final and with the tremendous home support on Tuesday I can imagine roughly 500+ for each final

League Cup Final will mean a lot more to llanelli than to rhyl as you're going for the treble. For Rhyl, it's just a few extra grand.

Having said that, Rhyl play best when relaxed and nothing rides on the outcome.

Will mean a lot to bangor - so much that they will have 10 behind the ball knowing that you're bound to get a goal or two against the llanelli defence.
