What's everyones thoughts - I'm all for it (even if Llanelli weren't apart of the 10, think it's good for the league as a whole)!

Llanelli, TNS, Rhyl, Bangor, Aberystwyth, Port Talbot, Carmarthen, Haverfordwest, Newtown, Neath.

I think Welshpool should be in there somewhere in fairness??? Perhaps in stead of Neath?!?!?!? Although in Neath done awesome this season!!!

The reason why I didnt pick Welshpool is because of their ground pretty rubbish. Neath have been awesome fair play 2 them, nice 2c a South Wales club doing well.

I see and that's fair comment to. And the only reason I didn't pick Neath was because there would be too many S.Wales clubs and I think there should be an even amount for the first new season!?!? Plus Neaths home venue isn't too exciting either (it's a cricket ground come football pitch)- great burgers though...

Won't you get fed-up playing the same clubs 4 times a season?Maybe twice more in the League Cup,once in the Welsh Cup,and maybe once in the Challenge Cups,Bangor v Rhyl i.e.Yawn!

Not at all, it happens as much as that in SPL and you never hear them moaning about the clash of their titans (Celtic & Rangers).

My Uncle is a huge Celtic fan, only born meters away from Celtic Park and he always hope to meet Rangers in the final. When I was younger, I used to question him about previously playing them 4 times already in the league, twice in their league cup (agg tie) and then meeting in their FA Cup. He said (which is true for the direction of the WPL) in his thick Glaswegian accidents - "Ye canna never have too much of a good thing" and he right. I think I'd prefer to see Red v Old Gold four times a season that Reds v Druids!!!!

It's about quality than quantity (however, both happen to go hand in hand in the new structure)!!!

Bring it on, sooner the better! I even like the criteria that is being drawn up (even if it means the Reds not meeting it, I'd still want it to go ahead)!!!

Means that the WPL will have strict rules (more so than it does now) and not only winning the previous league gains you access to the WPL, but youth policy, ground quality, infrastructure & even, dare I say it club finances!!!

Fan from all over the league have been crying out for change, not necessarily the current offering!!! But never the less, the FAW car trying to change!

If this comes off just watch the North Wales clubs beat it back to the English pyramid.

Not sure why NW clubs would need this move to go ahead as an excuse to crumble about wanting to go back to the English pyramid.

Not sure about this myself. I would worry that fans may get bored with playing the same sides all the time. But then is seems to work in Scotland and Ireland. Perhaps the WPL could ballot the fans in some way. Even if it's to get a flavour of what the majority of fans think.

The criteria has got to be a good thing, and so to (guaranted?) promotion/relagation with WPL2.

What would also be good would be to try and sell TV rights to Setanta. I have to listen to the Wales game on the radio tonight!!!!

UEFA/ English FA wouldn't let them in even if the North Wales Clubs wanted to switch!!! And to be honest I can see the league going from strength to strength! IF it does Merthyr & Colwyn can come on in... The other 4 are leaps and bounds ahead of us (not quite Newport as they just beat us - lol).

Tired old story the return to England. Safe to say if the clubs were willing to take court action with the ruling that allowed Newport, Colwyn Bay and Caernarfon to stay in England I'm pretty sure they would win.

As for the league going from strength to strength. Gates this season are going to be at best level with last seasons. The league champions can't even average 400, TNS money man is having marital problems that will mean his plaything will have to operate on a much tighter budget and from what I'm hearing the man propping Welshpoo up is about to pull the plug on his financing, so expect financial problems there in the near future.

10 teams will only be the way forward if the Welsh FA pull their fingers & get decent sponsorship and give out decent prize money. RT do you know how much Llanelli will get in prize money for winning the WPL, a big fat nothing. How many other Premier leagues around Europe give nothing financially to reward their champions?

Unless something is done soon I guarantee that some clubs will want to leave and I'm already hearing that its becoming a topic for discussion in the Belle Vue boardroom

There was that case for Newport (etc) whereby they were able to stay in the English system. However, if you still play in England (now) and you are a welsh team then you can switch, but if you are welsh and want to play in england then you can not. The FA (or FIFA) safe guarded against this from happening again. If you recall they they want all nationalities to play in their own league, therefore they will not allow it from happening again...

None starter!!!!! If they want to be in England, go and support an English team!!!

OR change the naming of English FA to the British FA then open up the competition to allow for all the home nations to join!!! But that would also mean a loss if I.D. to our national set-up..... Six of one & half a dozen of another!!!! Can't always have your chips and eat it (trying to think of another one liner)!!!! lol.

Forget what UEFA & FIFA say or the FA's, what matters is what a British court of law would say, because that is what governs us here.

There is a legal precedent set in that case and lets not forget that Rhyl for example played in the English system for over 60 years before the Welsh FA forced them out. I think a court case would be successful but its whether the clubs would want to take the risk of losing a vast amount of money trying to fight the case

If they did switch, it would be there loss, not the leagues... and might pave the way for others, but not for TNS or The Reds...

The only loss would be in European football, in every other aspect there are obvious gains.

And you don't think Rhyl with the best ground and the best attendences for the past 5 seasons would be a loss to the league?
